MPESB Group-2 Subgroup-4 is a joint recruitment: a single common written examination fills 2,106 posts across 61 departments of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. A candidate applying for several posts sits one exam, which is why preparation does not need to be split by post.
The Patwari posts are a special drive
All 200 Patwari vacancies in the Revenue Department cadre this cycle are reserved for candidates with disabilities (EH 94, LD 45, MD 61). There are no open or general Patwari vacancies in that cadre for 2026. General-category candidates should apply for the other posts in this notification.

Eligibility
Graduate, plus a valid CPCT scorecard.
Educational qualification
A graduate degree in any subject from a recognised university, together with a valid CPCT (Computer Proficiency Certification Test) scorecard. Some posts add a subject or technical requirement, so check the post code you intend to apply under.
CPCT is not optional
The CPCT scorecard is a separate certification with its own exam and validity period. Candidates without a current scorecard are commonly found ineligible at document verification, having already sat the paper.
Patwari - Divyang special drive
For the 200 Patwari posts, a valid disability certificate in one of the notified categories is required in addition to the general eligibility: EH (hearing impaired), LD (locomotor disability) or MD (multiple disabilities, including autism and intellectual disability).
Age limits and relaxations follow the MPESB notification and applicable Madhya Pradesh government rules.

Two shifts means normalisation
Where a paper runs across multiple shifts, MPESB normalises scores between them. Your raw score is not your final score, so judge yourself against the normalised result rather than a raw answer-key count.

Exam Pattern
200 questions, 200 marks, eight equal sections.
One common online CBT of 200 objective questions carrying 200 marks, set bilingually in Hindi and English. The paper splits into two halves of 100 marks, and every section carries an equal 25 marks, so no section can be safely skipped.

General Management is a full section
It carries the same 25 marks as mathematics or Hindi, and it is the section candidates most often discover late. Principles of management, management thinkers and basic economics are worth deliberate preparation.

The most decisive section. MP history, geography, rivers, national parks, minerals, tribal communities, art and culture, polity, economy, state schemes and important personalities, alongside national and international current affairs.

Preparation Strategy
Equal sections deserve unequal effort.
Every section carries 25 marks, but they do not cost the same effort per mark. Mathematics, reasoning and computer knowledge are scoring sections where accuracy is trainable. MP GK and general management reward memory and revision. Hindi and English are quick wins for most candidates and are commonly under-practised.

200 questions in one sitting is as much a stamina problem as a knowledge one. Full-length timed papers matter more here than more reading.
